What can FreeMedForms EMR do for you ?

Powerful and cross-platform
FreeMedForms is free and open source software, available for all current platforms (Linux, Mac OS X, Windows and FreeBSD). It is powerful and fully configurable. It can be adapted to many needs: various medical specialties, para-medical specialties and even veterinary profession.

Adaptable and highly scalable patient file
The patient file is fully editable. It is built of an XML file which you can modify to suit best for your practice. You can also customize your main patient file by adding subforms. FreeMedForms comes with an extensive list of subforms.

Shared multiuser agenda
With FreeMedForms you can set your personal agenda. Create an appointment for one or more patients in a single click! Using MySQL technology, you can delegate the agenda management to a ordination mate in another room.

Smart management of PMHx
With its PMHx component, FreeMedForms prepares the patient file for automatic computations such as the identification of potentially inappropriate medications in the elderly (still experimental). PMHx can be both forms (such as clickable risk factors) or traditional items.

Pharmaceutical drugs and interactions
FreeMedForms has a prescription module. Several treatment databases are available so far: France, Canada, the United States of America and Belgium. This module can detect drug-drug interactions as well as patient-drug interactions. Its data are open and verifiable (distributed under GPLv3).

Multi-user
FreeMedForms is fully multi-user capable. You can set up user profiles such as: doctors, nurses, caretakers, secretaries… An ergonomic interface helps you manage your users.

Ergonomic and configurable
The user experience can be tailored to individual needs through its many user preferences.

Respectful of classifications
Many classifications exist in medicine (and pharmacy). FreeMedForms respects the most of these classifications. ATC and ICD-10 are available.

High printing quality and ecology
The impressions made by FreeMedForms are high quality, you can define your personal headers, footers, and a watermark. The ” print two pages per sheet ” saves paper (economy and ecology together).

Downloadable datapacks
Every practitioner has special needs. The FreeMedForms servers provide installable datapacks. For example, you can select your drugs database (with or without interactions), classifications like ICD 10, new sets of forms, pre-written documents to use for your printings, zipcode database…
