Available edition modes

Two edition modes are available in FreeDiams:

• the selection only mode, where users create a list of pharmaceutical drugs without the need to inform prescription values
• the prescriber mode correspond to the full mode of the application.

FreeDiams is opened by default with the prescriber mode.
To change the mode, select the desired mode in the menu Prescription/Editing mode.
If a prescription is already beeing edited, you will be prompt of the data lose and asked for confirmation.

The select-only mode allows the user to create lists of pharmaceutical drugs without having to enter prescriptions values. This mode is used primarily:

• To quickly test interactions between drugs
• Build a list of therapies for an external EMR (list of allergies, list of intolerances…)
• To print a list of therapeutics without prescription settings (commandes…)

When FreeDiams is connected to an external EMR, the output exchange file includes:

• The selected drugs,
• Informations about the drug composition.

It is then possible for the external manager to rebuild its own database of allergies, intolerances or other. In this case the collaboration between applications is identical.

Prescriber mode gives the user access to all parameters of prescriptions:

• Selecting Drugs
• Input of the prescription's values
• Detailed printing
